The client had emphasized the critical urgency of the delivery, as the flexible hose assemblies were required for a newly commissioned power plant in the UAE. Due to unforeseen technical limitations with their existing supplier, they were facing a risk of project deadline delay. To avoid further setbacks in the commissioning schedule, they approached us with an expedited request for immediate material supply. Based on the technical requirement, quantity and urgency, the deadline was set to 5 days after order, standard and specification confirmation.

Flexible metal hose assemblies needed to be designed for U - loop configuration, where it is ideal for managing larger thermal growth and minimizing stress in piping systems. Constructed from corrugated SS316 stainless steel hose and fitted with ANSI B16.5 Class 150 fixed flanges, each assembly needed to undergo hydrostatic testing at 1.5 times its rated pressure and is engineered with a 4:1 safety margin. The dual hose loop design for this projects needed to ensure negligible end thrust when anchors and guides are installed. These hoses needed to be designed for process fluids in heavy duty environments such as power generation and petrochemical plants.

Required for straight run piping requiring controlled axial movement, our single axial tied metal expansion joints feature SS316 bellows, internal flow liners to reduce erosion, and robust tie rod restraint assemblies and flanged connections. The deisgn needed to include both vertical and horizontal installation and to accomodate the high flow velocity with axial and lateral movements. The material, ply thickness and no. of plies selected should be ideal for steam and hot fluid media under pressure, to ensure pipeline integrity under repeated thermal cycling.

To mitigate potential project overruns and avoid downtime, the client urgently engaged our team with a request for expedited manufacturing and delivery.
Under typical production timelines, an order of this scale would require a longer lead time due to the volume, custom configurations, and quality control protocols involved. However, recognizing the criticality of the application and the project implications, we prioritized this order across all departments—from engineering design to material procurement, fabrication, assembly, and testing.
Despite the complexity and tight tolerance requirements, we successfully manufactured and dispatched the following within 5 working days:

A comprehensive set of documentation—including pressure test reports, material test certificates (MTCs), and final inspection reports was compiled and delivered alongside the shipment.
